Gema Snape

Gema has a degree in Sports Rehabilitation, VCTC qualifications in Sports Therapy and Sports Massage, Medical Acupuncture and Pregnancy Massage certified qualifications. Gema is also a qualified teacher and frequently trains budding Sports Therapists in Anatomy & Physiology and Sports Massage. She is also a UKA running coach and Baby Massage Trainer.

Gema has experience of working in professional, semi-professional and amateur sports clubs alongside treating patients in Sports Therapy Clinics providing Sports Rehabilitation and Sports Massage.

Gema's main background stems around rugby, and has worked for Bradford Bulls RLFC and Salford Reds RLFC, providing players with injury assessment, rehab programs, treatments and massage. Alongside working within the UK Athletics set-up as a rehab specialist.

Gema has worked with athletes of all abilities and ages across a variety of sports , competing in local competitions to those racing and training for their country. Gema has also utilised her skills and supported businesses on wellness days, by delievering information and treatments to staff whilst at work.

Sian Atkinson

Sian has ran a clinic on a Wednesday evening and occasionally a Tuesday since 2019. She has built up a great reputation as a physio over the years she's been with us and treats both new and regular patients weekly.

She has a BSc (Hons) first class Sports Science Degree and is currently coming to the end of her Masters in Physiotherapy at Manchester University.

Sian offers injury assessment, treatment and rehab programs alongside Sports Massage.

Sian's clinical and assessment background lies mainly within rugby league and has been part of the physio team at St. Helens RL for four years and was involved in the RL World Cup in 2022. She has completed NHS placements as part of her Masters within women's health and orthopedics departments.

Bodyfix Rehab Clinic is located at Gymworks Fulwood and is available to members and non-members.
